One of a Kind Layout
So true, Gavin truly is one of a kind. He is not even close to being like any of my other kids, but that's what makes him so cute. He can be lovable, funny, naughty, hyper, full of smiles, playful, and just so adorable. I wouldn't trade him for the world, but sometimes I think about it when he has his naughty streak.

Needed New Pictures
Since the kids were home from school Monday because of snow, I decided that I needed some new pictures to put around the house of the kids. So it was fun for me to play around and take a bunch of snapshots. These were the best ones I came up with. The lighting wasn't the best on a couple of them, but I liked the picture anyway.
Not much going on around here. The boys are in basketball and Jordan has a couple of tournaments coming up and Zach plays at the halftime of the boys bb game next Friday. Those are always fun to watch. Curt has been busy with work and he has been back in this mode of working out a few times a week. A good time for him to get away from work and all. I have been busy with the kids and all other motherly and house duties. I also have been scrapbooking a lot lately. But my favorite thing to do is play coed volleyball every Sunday night at Lytton. We have been doing this since November and I hope it doesn't stop anytime soon. As for the little two, Riley is doing good and loves preschool, she was very peeved at not being able to go on Tuesday due to a two hour late start. So, today she was a very happy camper to be able to go.
Gavin is doing well. And for those who don't know, Gavin is now being seen by a Speech Pathologist and a person from our local Area Education Agency. When we went to Gavin's two year check up I mentioned to the doctor that Gavin isn't talking as well as the rest of our kids did at this age. And he said let's nip this in the bud now and have him be seen by our AEA. So, we are now doing that and they are going to help us get his speech caught up to where he should be. We had to go and have his hearing tested and that didn't turn out the best. He has temporary hearing loss in his right ear from fluid. And so we had to go back to the doctor and he gave him some steroids to shrink any kind of swelling that may be causing his fluid blockage. If that doesn't work within a month, he will have to get tubes. This could be the cause for his speech problems because they said it sounds like hearing under water for Gavin. Let's hope this is the problem and Gavin will be on track in no time.

How to Blow Bubbles Layout
This is a layout of Gavin and the pictures were taken last spring. He was never interested in blowing in the wand thing to make the bubbles go, he just wanted to chew on the bottle. I guess it was to see if he could make his own bubbles. Can you tell I am loving my new cricut machine, I used it again on this layout to make the title.

First Haircut Layout
OK. I am finally back to posting some layouts again. I was busy there with getting everything done with the shower that I kind of put scrapbooking aside for a while. But here is one of the few I finished of Gavin's pages. As you can tell this is his first time getting a haircut and in summary the journaling says that I was very reluctant to cut your hair because you are so active, but you did great and it turned out really well. Handsome!!
Also, this is the first layout I have done using my Cricut that I got from Curt for Christmas. For those of you who don't know, the Cricut is an electronic tool that will cut a huge variety of shapes, designs, alphabets, etc. and all I have to do is press a few buttons and it does all the cutting for me and I just watch. Awesome. I used the Cricut on this layout for the title. Thanks honey, I truly love my little toy, so worth it.

Missy's Baby Shower
Yesterday was Missy and Noah's baby shower (but of course Noah was not in attendance because of the flu season). It turned out really well and we all had a lot of fun. I made this collage for Jeff, Missy and Noah and I displayed it at the shower. It is a terrible picture because I didn't use a lot of natural light coming in from the windows. I ended up framing it in a white frame for them to hang up if they want to. I also made them a shadow box but I never captured a picture of that. At the shower we played a few games (baby name scramble, baby animal names, and baby price is right). It was fun to watch everyone try to figure out the answers. Then we had cake and snacks and finally Missy opened all her presents. She really made out and Noah will be set for a while. Thanks everyone who came and made it a special day for Missy, and we missed those who couldn't be there.

Family Sledding Time
Hi all. I am so sorry it has taken me so long to post. I have been busy I guess with different stuff and just haven't gotten around to working on my blog. These pictures are from New Year's Eve weekend when Curt's family was home. It was a perfect day to be outside and a wonderful day for sledding. All of the kids went except Gavin. We didn't think he was ready for such a big hill and if he got fussy we weren't too close to home. Hopefully next year for him. Anyway, it was so much fun watching everyone sledding and having such a good time. It was nice to have Curt's dad there with his truck to take everyone up the hill when they were done. There are more pictures of sledding in the following posts.
