Vacation Series - Part 5

Here are some more photos of our vacation. I will probably just do one more series of pics and then be done. I'm sure you are all getting tired of them by now. But it has been nice for me to have something to post for you all.

All the kids, Mya, and myself in front of the Old City Hall in Boston. Tiredness was starting to creep in on everyone by this point.
Zachy at the pier in Southwest Harbor. Not far from where we were staying for the week.
Curt and I on top of Cadillac Mountain
Jordan and Zach on our way up Cadillac Mountain.
Jordan at Eagle Lake off of the carriage roads.
Curt and Gavin on the carriage road. Loved being surrounded by trees.
The boys and Curt playing a little b-ball with the rest of the family. A great time for the kids to play around a little.
Riley and Gavin playing at a park by the b-ball courts.
Riley loving her go cart ride with her Uncle Todd.

My Baby Girl is 5!!!!

Wow!! My cute, wonderful, sassy, independent, loving, giggly, happy little girl is five years old today at 2:58pm. I remember the day she was born so vividly and how happy I was that I got my little girl. And she is definitely girly enough for me but strong enough to speak up for herself and be her own person. Love that about her, the best of both worlds. My dear Riley, I hope you have a wonderful day and I am so proud of the beautiful little girl you have become. Love you with all my heart.
(I don't know if you can see her cute pierced little ears, she is so proud of them, one of her birthday gifts.)

Vacation Series - Part 4

Hi peeps. Are you ready for another round of pictures? It is so nice to be able to share these pictures with you all because to be honest with you, I have been terrible about taking pictures in the last couple of months or so and you would be bored out of you mind coming to this blog and seeing the same old post time and time again because I have no new material. So I am going to milk these pics for all they are worth. Hope that is OK.

Riley, Gavin and I in front of the Old South Meeting House in Boston. This is the place where over 5000 colonists held a mass protest meeting on Dec. 16, 1773 that led to the Boston Tea Party. It also served as a gathering place for discussion, celebration, and a haven for free speech. A lot of history in Boston and we only saw a small part of it.
A pic of the whole fam off the deck of our house. It was awesome every morning to see the view of the sailboats. Never got sick of it. It was really nice on the mornings where there wasn't any fog because you could see for quite a distance.
This pic is of Gavin, Riley, and Mya (niece). One of my favorites of the whole trip. This was taken on the hike up Cadillac Mountain and there was this great resting spot perfect for a photo op. Are they little posers or what?
As promised, here is the picture of my darling husband trying to keep his cookies down as he sat swaying on the boat 12 miles out in the ocean. Can't say he enjoyed the historic lighthouses too much. Good thing I was concentrated on taking tons of pics instead of easing his misery otherwise he would have missed out on it all. Good thinking on my part.
Pic of my boys at a scenic spot on the carriage road. You would almost think we were making them take this picture by the look on Jordan's face. Oh wait, we were making them.
Another one of my favorite pictures. This was taken the day we adventured out on the Park Loop Road. The kids loved climbing on the rocks here and since they were all in one spot I told them to park it so I could take their picture with this bridge in the background. Picture turned out a little blurry, but still worth it all the same.
This is a small section of the town of Bar Harbor. I loved this quaint little town. So many fun shops to stop in and take a gander. The hard part was deciding what to buy and from which store. This whole street was lined on both sides with these cute little shops which led down to the pier.

Had to make sure we got a picture of the Acadia National Park sign. Without that, we may not have known we were even there. :)
