Blingin' it Home!
Wow, what a great weekend at the 22nd annual Iowa Games. It was an extremely long weekend, but full of medals for the boys (they get medals up to third place). All I can say is that we are so proud of the boys and the great effort they put into the Iowa games. They shaved seconds off of most of their previous times and just went full force in all of their events. And now for the results:
Jordan: 2nd place boys free relay
2nd place boys and girls medley relay
2nd place boys medley relay
2nd place 100 butterfly (but was DQed for a short flutter kick)
4th place 100 free
6th place 50 butterfly
7th place 50 free
Zach: 1st place boys free relay
1st place boys and girls free relay
2nd place 25 breast
2nd place 50 butterfly
3rd place 25 butterfly
3rd place 50 free
3rd place boys medley relay
7th place 25 free
I will post more pictures of the weekend soon and also a picture of their medals.

Life
Well, I figured it has been long enough since I posted. Here are some pics of the kids taken about a month ago. I just like them so much that I thought I would put them here on the blog.
We are nearing the end of swim season. Just one more meet and then conference. But, they do get to swim one more time this weekend at the Iowa games. We are so excited for them and we hope they have a lot of fun. Jordan is swimming the 50 and 100 butterfly and the 50 and 100 free. Zach is swimming the 25 and 50 free, the 25 and 50 butterfly, and the 25 breast. They will swim on both Saturday and Sunday and they can also swim in some relays if we sign them up for them. It should be a fun weekend and they even get to be in the opening ceremonies and walk out in front of everyone and be announced. That will be done at Jack Trice Stadium.
Riley is having a fun summer. She just loves having Noah here and loves the pool. She is so fearless at the pool, but i am glad to know she isn't afraid of the water. When I have a chance I will post some pictures of her latest booboo. Her and Gavin were jumping on the trampoline together and they both got together and her chin came down on Gavin's head. She bawled her head off and Gavin didn't even get hurt. She has a pretty nasty bruise to show for it. Poor thing.
Gavin is doing great with his speech. I had his 6 month review with the AEA and they said he is doing tremendous and don't expect he will need extra help after he turns 3. They have made a new goal for him with his speech. He has to say at least fifteen 3-4 word sentences using a noun and and verb in one visit. They come and visit once a month now (used to be twice a month) and in one of those visits he has to meet that goal. They don't see any trouble in him doing that though. Awesome!!!

Happy Belated Birthday, Jordan!!!
I know it has been almost a week since Jordan's birthday, but I still wanted to send him a shout out and let him know we all love him and hope that he had a great 11th birthday!! On the day of this birthday, June 28, we went to Vicki's house for a Batta family get together. It was a lot of fun and Jordan got to spend the day with this cousins from SD, that was a gift in itself to him. And then on Sunday, we had a birthday party for him. It was really nice to have everyone here for him, I know he enjoyed it. And when you saw the cake photo above, I'm sure you were wondering what it was. Jordan wanted a swimmer on his cake (his favorite sport) and I asked the cake place if they could do a swimmer and she said I think we have a design for that. IMO, I don't think they had a template for a swimmer and they just winged it. It looked kind of weird but Jordan still liked it anyway so it all turned out great.

Swim Team
Here is some pictures of the boys swimming last week. They haven't gotten their ribbons for last week yet, so I still don't know how they finished. They did pretty good though. We went to Emmetsburg last night for an indoor conference meet and Forest City was there as well. You can tell they are year round teams because they are in a lot better shape than our kids. With that said, I still think Jordan and Zach did awesome and we are so proud of them last night. Forest City has a 13 year old girl that is ranked 14th nationally. You can tell, she was awesome. It was a lot of fun to watch her swim. At least the boys had good competition last night and it will be a good preview of what's in store for the Iowa Games. There will be some great swimmers there and they are all from big towns like Urbandale, Ames, Des Moines, Oskaloosa, and so on.
Before I forget, I do know their results from last. Jordan got 1 first (25 breast), 3 seconds (free relay, medley relay, 25 butterfly) 1 third (100 m free)
Zach got all firsts (medley relay, free relay, 25 m butterfly, 100m individual medley, 50 free)

Who Doesn't Have Fun with Bubbles?
The boys saw how much fun Riley and Gavin were having with blowing bubbles that they had to do it as well. It sure makes for some fun photo ops. I think the little ones would blow bubbles all the time if they could.
Not much going on here. The boys are in full swing with swim team now and did really great at their first meet on Wednesday. There wasn't tons of competition except among their own team, but I guess at least there were kids to swim against. I think out of 10 total events between them they had all firsts except for 1 or 2 seconds, and that was for relays. Very proud of them!!
Riley and Gavin are enjoying the summer as well. They love to be outside and are loving the pool as well. Now we just need to get rid of those annoying mosquitoes, we have already gone through two cans of bug spray. They especially love Gavin, poor kid!!

Noah In Da House
Hi all, I know it has been a while since I last blogged, sorry for that. The mood didn't hit me last week to make a post. Hopefully these cute pictures of Noah makes up for that. My kids are so excited that Noah is finally able to go out and that we get to watch him during the day when needed. They love him to pieces and I do too. He is just so adorable and loves to smile as you can see in the pictures.
