Memorial Weekend

This Memorial weekend we went to a graduation and it was at a park. So, of course, I had to take plenty pictures of that. The kids had so much fun. They got to play on all of the fun equipment, blow bubbles, have a watergun fight, play kickball, and play soccer. Believe me, they were very tuckered by the evening. To make it all better, they got to spend all of this time with their cousins from Aberdeen. And they also got to make a fire in Grandma and Grandpa's back yard and roast marshmellows. Talk about a fun day!!

Jordan's Spring Concert

Jordan's concert was last week and it was long and hot. When Jordan only performs for about 10-15 minutes out of one and a half hours it tends to get a little long. And of course it was a warm and beautiful day out and so it was very warm in the gym. But, we made it through and enjoyed watching him do his thing. Jordan didn't bother to tell me though that he was one of two people who had a speaking part, I almost missed that photo op. Jordan even got to do tininkling which is when they tap two long poles together on the floor and people dance around the poles. He did really good and didn't miss a step, he was a little tired and winded though when it was all done, as was the rest of the class.

Zach's Spring Concert

Here are some pics of Zach's Concert. He loved playing the instruments and did a great job using sign language for the songs. Every concert they do sign language so it is becoming pretty easy for Zach to learn the signs. Great job, Zachy!

Jordan's DARE Graduation

Here are some pictures from Jordan's DARE graduation. Every year the fifth grade class has our chief of police come and teach them about the dangers of drugs and alcohol (violence is added into it too now). Once they complete the education they get to have a graduation to show they are aware of the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol. Out of 40 kids in his class, the teachers, chief of police, and the four mentors get to pick the best essays (what DARE taught them) and Jordan's was one of the four they picked. He did such an incredible job and even got to read his essay at the graduation. The winners also received medals and a big Darren (the stuffed mascot of DARE). We were very proud of him.
