Here is a better picture of my featured LO. You can look at it more closely here if you wish. I think it might have been hard for some of you to view it on the webpage. I am very proud of this page, what can I say, I have great subjects to scrapbook about. Love ,em all!!! For anyone that doesn't know this already, I was a featured layout on a well known scrapbook website for the day. This is a picture of the LO that was featured.

Whazup?

Hi all. Just wanted to post some pictures and to let you know what we are up to. Gavin is doing great. You wouldn't believe how well he is starting to talk. He is even doing two and three word sentences already. I don't know if the tubes in his ears had something to do with that, whatever it is, I am so happy for his improvement. Riley is loving this nice weather and asks all day long to go outside. She would live out there if she could, same for Gavin. Preschool is her love right now. She is at the point she wants to go everyday now. I suppose that is a good thing, but it isn't fun telling her she can't go to school on certain days. There may be four days of preschool next year for her, so I'm sure she will be loving that. Zach and Jordan have started soccer. We haven't had too many practices due to the rain we have had, and some snow, but they are excited none the less. Zach told me this is one of his favorite sports and Jordan is really coming to love the sport as well. They both have great potential to be excellent soccer players, but we all know it takes a lot of work to get there. They sure are practicing hard and doing their best so I can't wait to see them in their games. They have their first home game this weekend. Hopefully it will be a nice, warm day. As for Curt and I, Curt has been really busy with work and soccer and I have been busy with everyday tasks. Soccer seems to take up a lot of our time right now. We just got done last night painting two of our three fields. That takes a long time, but the kids did great and were patient with us. We went shopping this weekend and bought some stuff to make a patio and got some brick landscape edgers to put around the house. Now we only hope for some nice days to do this work. We also got a hot water heater, much needed. We can only take about a half a shower now before the hot water starts running out. Now I just need to call someone to help us install it. I can't wait!!!!!!

Layouts of Gavin from the Fall of 07
Here are some more LOs for you all. I hope you don't mind me posting them here. I figure you get to see what inspires me and also some pictures of the kids. Speaking of Gavin, he is doing great since he got his tubes in. No troubles at all. Curt and I seem to notice he is more clear in his speech than he used to be, but we won't know for another month or more if his hearing is back to normal.

The Tubes Are In
I know this layout I did has nothing to do with Gavin's tubes, but I wanted to include some kind of picture or something of him. So I decided to include I layout I did. I just love that cheesy smile of his.
Anyway, Gavin got his tubes for his ears today. Dr. Wellendorf did both ears (even though only his right one was the problem) because he said that if one fills up with fluid, it is just as likely for the other one to do it as well so why not get them both done. And as I have mentioned before he had his miniscule surgery (as in less than 5 minutes) done in Lake City. They were all very nice there and had a blast with Gavin as we waited for the surgery. I just couldn't believe that he was done so soon. He didn't have any problems and the anesthesia wore off about 5-10 after the surgery was done. But, once he woke up it was awful. He was restless, cried often and complained of his mouth hurting (not sure about that one). He did not stop crying until we left the hospital and he got in the van for the ride home. Then once we got home, he was 100% different and was happy, cheerful and his old self. He hasn't even complained of any pain or anything. So, all in all, it went great. I just won't know until the end of May if his hearing is better (that is when he will go back to the AEA and have his hearing tested again). Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.

A Couple of Projects
Hi all. It has been a while since I have posted some of my creativity, so here is some for ya. The first picture is of a frame I decorated to match a picture of Dawn and Gavin at the farm. One of my favorite pictures. I give this to Dawn to keep. The next pictures are a mini book I made for Dad of Riley and Gavin about the day we all went to the farm when Noah was in the hospital. I think we were getting pumpkins or something and just hanging out together. Jordan and Zach were in school, so unfortunately they couldn't be photographed. I hope you enjoy and I have tons more to post but I will stretch it out a little for ya.

Tubes for Gavin
Hello. Gavin went to an ENT doctor today and he confirmed with our doctor that he needed a tube put in his right ear. His day of surgery(outpatient, of course) is March 26, early in the morning. I don't know the time yet, but they said young children are first in line the day the surgeries are lined up due to the fact they can't eat or drink after midnight. The surgery will be in Lake City. I guess Dr. Wellendorf goes there once a month for surgeries. I hope all goes well and it isn't too painful or much of a problem for Gavy. I'm sure he will feel weird for a while after it is all over. But, as long as it fixes his hearing problem, we will deal with whatever comes our way.

Nursery Rhyme Tea
Riley had her first program today for us to enjoy. It wasn't very long, just three nursery rhymes that they said and they also sang two songs. It was still adorable though and I loved every minute of it. Then after they were done we got to stay and have snack and some juice and spend some time in their room. Riley did such a good job and was really into getting the actions for the rhymes and songs just right. I wish you all could have been there.
